About The Position

The Registered Nurse will provide direct nursing care on Fairview Hospital’s Parkview III Complex Medical Care unit, which primarily cares for post-operative patients. The unit treats patients following orthopaedic, spine, low-risk bariatric, urology, vascular, colorectal, and general surgeries, as well as other surgical and trauma patients. The RN works with a collaborative, multidisciplinary team and interacts directly with patients and their families throughout the patient care journey, providing healthcare education as needed.

This role is scheduled for nights, 7:00 p.m. to 7:30 a.m., with rotating weekend requirements. The position requires compliance with standard precautions and use of personal protective equipment as required.

Requirements

• Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing (Diploma, ADN, or BSN program).
• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross.
• One year of current acute care RN experience or licensed military RN experience.
• Ability to meet the physical requirements, including handling and lifting patients, standing and walking for extended periods, and exerting the specified medium-work forces.
• Ability to work under stressful conditions and irregular hours.
• Follow standard precautions and use personal protective equipment as required.
• Comply with the influenza prevention program, including annual vaccination or an approved exemption.
