About The Position

Under general direction, plans, directs and coordinates Patient Logistics Center operations and Translation Services. This role leads, develops, coaches, and effectively manages the team to ensure deliverables and performance metrics are met. The manager is responsible for fostering professional development among staff, monitoring overtime hours, and assisting with coverage plans. They will also evaluate staff performance, document critical incidents, and provide clear direction to the team. Auditing written and audio records for compliance and resolving issues independently is also a key responsibility. The role involves hiring and orientating new staff, managing schedules, and monitoring productivity targets within budget for the Patient Logistics Center and Translation Services.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an approved school of nursing.
  • BSN required
  • Five (5) years’ experience as a Registered Nurse in an acute care setting including two (2) years of supervisory, fiscal management and computer system applications OR an equivalent combination of education and experience substituting up to one year of college coursework above the Baccalaureate Degree level for a maximum of one (1) year of the non-supervisory required experience. OR an equivalent combination of education and experience substituting additional coursework or experience in financial/accounting management at the rate of one year of financial experience for one year of nursing experience.
  • Current RN License issued by the Oklahoma State Board of Nursing, or a current multistate compact RN License (eNLC).
  • Current Basic Life Support issued by the American Heart Association required upon hire.
  • Knowledge of advanced clinical skills, current nursing practices, principles and methods of supervision and teaching, hospital organization, nursing administration, management of standard accounting and financial practices, budgets and their application to fiscal policy and procedure, statistical theory, regulation by accrediting agencies and of computer system applications in both clinical and financial settings.
  • Knowledge of managerial functions such as budgets, statistical measures, report writing, performance improvement tools, etc.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop collaborative relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Strong influence skills and ability to motivate others.
  • Ability to maintain integrity and trust among leadership and staff
  • Proven ability to manage a team of professionals and lead a departmental function
  • Managerial skills sufficient for organizing, developing and supervising a department and staff.
  • Skill in analyzing statistics for both clinical and business purposes.
  • Ability to communicate ideas and concepts in a clear and concise manner (orally and in writing).
  • Ability to establish effective working relationships.
  • Must be a strategic thinker, self-motivated and have excellent problem solving and project management skills
  • Proven ability to solve complex problems effectively and manage multiple high priority deliverables
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills
  • Proficient with the use of Microsoft Office tools

Responsibilities

  • Assists with communication to physicians, community and other customers about Patient Logistics Center
  • Assists with information systems concerning nursing administration and Patient Logistics Center
  • Manages software for access and reports
  • Manages request of English documents to be translated into multiple languages
  • Manages processes for Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) requirements
  • Manages clinical needs of area
  • Manages processes related to staffing, bedboard, transport communications and admission processes
  • Maintains and monitors required records and reports
  • Fosters professional development among staff
  • Monitors overtime hours and assists with coverage plans to conserve
  • Evaluates performance of staff and directs them in an appropriate manner
  • Documents critical incidents when necessary and takes appropriate action
  • Provides clear, concise and pertinent direction to the team
  • Independently audits written and audio records to ensure compliance and resolves issues as needed
