About The Position

Tallahassee Memorial Healthcare (TMH) is a private, nonprofit community-based healthcare system that provides care to a 22-county region in North Florida and South Georgia. Requirements

  • Associate degree (or equivalent) in nursing from a program accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) or the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN)
  • Two (2) years of registered nursing experience
  • Licensed as a registered nurse (RN) in accordance with Florida Statutes (F.S.), Title XXXII (Regulation of Professions and Occupations), Chapter 464 (Nursing), Part I (Nurse Practice Act) [includes multistate compact licensure].
  • Certified Lactation Counselor (CLC) credential from the Academy of Lactation Policy and Practice (ALPP).
  • International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) credential from the International Board of Lactation Consultant Examiners (IBLCE) within one (1) year post-hire.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in nursing.
  • Advanced lactation consultant training.
  • Two (2) to five (5) years of obstetrical registered nursing experience.
  • IBCLC credential from the IBLCE at hire.
