About The Position

The RN Clinical Nurse is a proactive member of an interdisciplinary team of licensed and unlicensed caregivers who ensure that patients, families, and significant others receive individualized, high-quality, safe patient care. The nurse practices in a clinical environment administered by Nurse Managers and other leaders and supported through the Wellstar Shared Governance Model. Practice is guided by the Wellstar Professional Practice Model, evidence-based practice, research, and the Wellstar Values.

RN Clinical Nurses must be licensed and knowledgeable, uphold the practice of nursing as outlined by the Georgia Professional Nurse Practice Act, and implement the Scope of Practice and Code of Ethics Standards established by the American Nurses Association. As a member of the patient services team, the nurse upholds the voice of the patient and system policies and procedures while supporting service excellence goals.

This position is in the LDRP department and requires Labor & Delivery, OR circulation, and postpartum patient care. The shift is 7 p.m. to 7 a.m., with two Mondays, two Fridays, every other weekend, and one major and one minor holiday.

Requirements

• Two years of Labor & Delivery or LDRP experience.
• Active RN - Registered Nurse (Single State) or RN-COMPACT - RN Multi-state Compact license.
• BLS (Basic Life Support), ARC-BLS (American Red Cross Basic Life Support), or BLS-I (Basic Life Support Instructor) certification.
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program), ARC-NALS (American Red Cross Neonatal Advanced Life Support), NRP-P (NRP-Provisional, within 180 days), or NRP-I (NRP Instructor) certification.
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support), ARC-ALS (American Red Cross Advanced Life Support), ACLS-I (ACLS Instructor), or ACLS-P (ACLS-Provisional, within 180 days) certification.
• Ability to provide Labor & Delivery care, OR circulation, and postpartum patient care.
• Work 7 p.m. to 7 a.m.; two Mondays, two Fridays, every other weekend, and one major and one minor holiday.
