About The Position
The Registered Nurse in Labor & Delivery provides care for level II maternity patients, including monitoring EFM tracings, performing SVEs, starting IVs, and managing Magnesium Sulfate.
Requirements
- BLS and Intermediate Fetal Monitoring certifications.
- Minimum experience with EFM interpretation, SVEs, and IV starts.
- Competency in managing Magnesium Sulfate and titrating drips.
- Successful completion of sterile technique test for Foley catheter insertion and central line dressing changes on orientation.
Responsibilities
- Monitor EFM tracings using Fetalink system.
- Perform and interpret EFM, SVEs, IV starts.
- Manage titratable drips, including Pitocin.
- Coordinate with OB Techs and front desk scheduler.
- Provide on-call coverage as per schedule requirements.
