About The Position
Navitas Healthcare, LLC is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Labor & Delivery to provide comprehensive care for laboring, postpartum, and high-risk obstetric patients. The RN will monitor maternal and fetal well-being, assist during deliveries, provide patient education, and support newborn care. Candidates must be comfortable floating to the Mother Baby unit when needed.
Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) License
- Minimum 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery experience
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
- Experience caring for laboring, postpartum, and high-risk obstetric patients
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and patient education skills
- Active Driver’s License
Nice To Haves
- Previous travel nursing experience
- Experience floating between Labor & Delivery and Mother Baby units
- Experience using Electronic Medical Records (EMR)
Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care during labor, delivery, and immediate postpartum recovery
- Monitor maternal and fetal conditions using appropriate assessment techniques
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
- Assist physicians and healthcare providers during labor and delivery procedures
- Recognize and respond to obstetric emergencies
- Educate patients and families regarding labor, delivery, recovery, and newborn care
- Document assessments, interventions, and patient outcomes accurately
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure quality patient care
- Float to Mother Baby unit and provide newborn care when required
- Follow hospital policies, procedures, and patient safety standards
