About The Position

MultiCare is seeking a staff Registered Nurse to join a hospital-based team. The RN uses specialized nursing knowledge and training to provide patient care through a multidisciplinary approach. Nurses are supported in clinical decision-making, communication, professional development, and career growth. This per-diem position involves 10-hour day shifts, with weekend call required, at MultiCare Valley Hospital, a 123-bed acute-care hospital in Spokane Valley. The hospital offers comprehensive surgical, inpatient, outpatient, and diagnostic services, advanced cardiac care, and a Level III Trauma Center.

Requirements

Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Washington State or a Multistate License endorsement (MLS).
Current BLS Certification.
One year of experience in an acute-care setting is preferred.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree preferred.
ACLS, NALS, PALS, TNCC, or NRP certification, as required by the facility or department.
Certification in a specialty area preferred.
One year of experience in an acute-care setting preferred.

Responsibilities

Organize patient care by prioritizing, delegating, delivering, and evaluating care on an ongoing basis.
Use nursing education and experience to deliver care through the nursing process and in accordance with hospital policies, procedures, and protocols.
Collaborate with the nursing team to improve quality of care, patient experience, and cost reduction.
Foster a learning environment for patients, families, nursing staff, and other healthcare team members.
Advocate for ethical and holistic care that promotes patient autonomy, dignity, and health across diverse ethnic and social backgrounds.
