RN-Internal Traveler
About The Position
Southcoast Health is seeking experienced Registered Nurses for its in-house travel team, MTM Staffing. This is an 11-13 week assignment with the possibility of extension. The role offers a competitive hourly rate and eligibility for health insurance and a 403B retirement plan. The assignment is on a Family Centered Unit/Labor & Delivery at Charlton Memorial Hospital in Fall River, MA, with the potential to float to other Southcoast Health hospitals including St. Luke's in New Bedford. Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing or equivalent.
- Current RN Licensure in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Minimum of one year of Family Centered Unit/Labor & Delivery nursing experience.
- Competent in reading and interpreting basic telemetry strips.
- Ability to efficiently float to other like-units for patient assignments.
- Working knowledge and experience with PC-based applications.
- Must be fully vaccinated against seasonal Influenza and the COVID 19 virus or provide exemption.
Nice To Haves
- Epic experience is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care on a Family Centered Unit/Labor & Delivery.
- Work every other weekend and holiday, with one weekend shift every week and every other holiday.
- Float to other like-units for patient assignments as needed.
- Utilize PC-based applications for daily tasks.
- Interpret basic telemetry strips.
- Administer vaccinations or obtain exemption statements upon hire.
