About The Position

Under the general supervision and direction of a clinical nurse, and in accordance with established policies and procedures, the RN Intern provides routine service duties and performs technical and nursing procedures needed to support patient care, comfort, and safety. The intern maintains a clean and orderly patient and unit environment and uses basic knowledge of age-related differences when delivering patient care.

Requirements

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Two letters of recommendation from a Clinical Instructor or designee.
• Transcript indicating a minimum 3.0 GPA.
• Current BLS certification.
• Must be enrolled in an accredited School of Nursing program.
• Must have successfully completed a course equivalent to Fundamentals or Introduction to Clinical Nursing.
• Ability to demonstrate basic patient care methods, procedures, and critical thinking techniques.
• Ability to acquire and effectively use knowledge of unit procedures and schedules.

Responsibilities

• Provide routine service duties and perform technical and nursing procedures necessary for patient care, comfort, and safety.
• Maintain the patient and unit environment in a clean and orderly condition.
