About The Position

The Progressive Care Registered Nurse coordinates and delivers high-quality, patient-centered care. Working in collaboration with medical providers, the RN provides pre-operative and post-operative nursing care and advocates for patients to support an exceptional patient experience. The role includes caring for cardiac and medical-surgical patients and maintaining knowledge of the medications, procedures, and equipment used in their care.

Requirements

Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date.
Basic Cardiac Life Support certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
Registered Nurse (RN) qualification.
Registered Nurse Diploma or Associate Degree.

Responsibilities

Assess patient condition during admission and each shift, identifying and reporting changes in patient status.
Perform procedures or other functions as ordered by the medical provider.
Document care in the patient medical record in a timely and thorough manner.
Administer prescribed medications and monitor patient response.
Maintain knowledge of medications, procedures, and equipment used in the care of cardiac and medical-surgical patients.
Provide pre-operative and post-operative nursing care in collaboration with medical providers.
Advocate for patients to support a high-quality patient experience.
