About The Position

Join us at Cleveland Clinic Akron General Hospital where we have been providing world-class care to our community for over 100 years. Here, we strive for patient-centered care and comfort with our collaborative team of healthcare professionals. We are committed to serving the community and treating our patients as family. 6400 is a 26-bed behavioral health unit dedicated to providing compassionate, patient-centered care to individuals experiencing behavioral health crises. Our department specializes in behavioral health crises, and while we occasionally handle medical issues, patients are medically cleared prior to admission to our unit. As an RN Resident on the team, you will deliver exceptional care throughout the patient care journey, alongside a success coach. In this role, you will help patients who are struggling with mental health challenges and provide them with compassionate care and support, while also learning valuable skills in crisis intervention, de-escalation, communication and therapeutic rapport. Here, you have the chance to see patients go from in-crisis to stable, which many find to be very rewarding. Caregivers often remain employed in Behavioral Health because of the deep connections they establish with colleagues and many consider their team to be a second family. Come be a part of a compassionate team that will allow you to make a difference in each interaction while growing your skills.
