About The Position

The Registered Nurse delivers individualized, quality nursing care to cancer patients and their families according to hospital guidelines, the nursing professional practice model, nursing care standards and policies, the ANA Code of Ethics, and external regulatory requirements. Nurses provide personalized, patient- and family-centered care informed by Duffy’s quality caring model and use the nursing process to plan, manage, and evaluate care. Care planning addresses patients’ biophysical, psychosocial, environmental, self-care, educational, and discharge-planning needs, with timely baseline and comparative documentation and age-appropriate consideration. The role is based in the Infusion Center at Moffitt’s McKinley Outpatient Service Center, where patients receive chemotherapy, intravenous medications, blood products, and other infusion services.
