This role is for an RN Oncology Infusion Therapy Clinician at the Paulding Outpatient Infusion Center. The clinician functions under the direction of the Manager Infusion Therapy and demonstrates expertise in oncology infusion therapy, including hazardous drug therapies. The RN will administer chemotherapy, immunotherapy, antineoplastics agents, hazardous drugs, and targeted therapies in an outpatient setting, with potential for alternate settings. The position requires providing safe, age-appropriate, and culturally aware patient care, addressing biological, emotional, developmental, psychosocial, and educational needs. The RN serves as a clinical resource and is expected to uphold the Georgia Professional Nurse Practice Act, Scope of Practice, and Code of Ethics. Responsibilities include attending staff meetings, participating in special projects, and continued education. Local travel is required, and staff may be required to float between Cobb Hospital HOD's within a 35-mile radius. The role also involves serving as a preceptor for new RN colleagues.
