RN III (CARDIOVASCULAR) - VHS FLOAT (FULL-TIME)
About The Position
The Valley Health System is an integrated health network that serves more than two million people in Southern Nevada, encompassing several hospitals including Valley Hospital Medical Center, Centennial Hills Hospital Medical Center, Spring Valley Hospital Medical Center, Summerlin Hospital Medical Center, Henderson Hospital, Valley Health Specialty Hospital, and the newest West Henderson Hospital. This RN III position is responsible for providing safe, competent nursing care for patients in accordance with facility policies, standards, and philosophy. The role emphasizes professional leadership and support to the healthcare team, with all nursing care founded on the concepts of Patient Centered Care. The RN III also oversees and guides employees under their supervision and is expected to demonstrate Service Excellence standards at all times.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing
- Two-years acute care experience or successful completion of an approve specialty course within 6 months of hire
- Current RN license in the State of Nevada
- Current BLS Certification required
- Current ACLS Certification (adult patients)
- Current PALS Certification (pediatric patients) or current NRP Certification (Neonatal patients) as required by department
- Other certification as may be required by facility, specialty or department
- Approved Crisis Management Course required
- Must successfully pass any pre-employment assessment(s) required by the facility
- Must sign agreement to float to a minimum of three VHS facilities
