About The Position

Piedmont Henry Hospital is seeking to grow its team with a Registered Nurse for the Intensive Care Unit (ICU). This is a 24-bed Medical/Surgical ICU that is fast-paced and handles high acuity patients. The unit is staffed with Critical Care Intensivists/APPs 24/7, Registered Nurses, Respiratory Therapists, and Patient Care Technicians. The typical nurse to patient ratio is 1:2 or 1:3. The ICU manages conditions such as Sepsis and Multi-System Organ Failure, utilizes Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy (CRRT), and Targeted Temperature Management (TTM) for post-cardiac arrest patients. Advanced monitoring includes invasive and non-invasive hemodynamic monitoring (Arterial lines, Flotrac/EV 1000, Central Venous Catheters). The unit also employs advanced treatments like EKOS Ultrasound Accelerated Thrombolysis, Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump (IABP), Impella, and titration of vasopressors and continuous paralytics. Staff utilize BIS monitors/TOF monitors, manage pacemakers, and care for complex respiratory failure patients requiring advanced ventilatory support. Other patient populations include Post-Percutaneous Coronary Intervention, Acute Stroke Care with Alteplase management, management of various types of shock (cardiac, septic, hypovolemic), management of neurosurgical patients including care of external ventricular devices, and patients with ARDS requiring manual prone therapy.

Requirements

  • Graduate from a recognized, accredited school of nursing
  • RN - Registered Nurse - Georgia State Licensure and/or NLC/eNCL Multistate Licensure Current License in the State of Georgia as a Registered Nurse or NLC/eNLC Multistate License.
  • BCLS - Basic Life Support

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 1 year in a hospital setting for PRN positions
