About The Position
Corewell Taylor ICU is a 16-bed Medical ICU where nurses provide care for patients requiring ventilator support, medication management, and surgery recovery. Nurses will assist physicians with various bedside procedures and work alongside Intensivists and multidisciplinary teams to provide patient care and updates. Taylor Hospital is a Magnet-designated hospital, recognized as a healthcare leader since 1977, offering a wide range of specialty services including 24-hour emergency care, wound care, a surgical pavilion, pain management clinic, orthopedic surgery, an inpatient rehabilitation facility, and full-service radiology. Free onsite parking is available for staff.
Requirements
- Associates in Nursing Required
- Bachelors in Nursing Required within 5 years
- Graduates from a non-accredited school of nursing must have at least one year of acute care experience or at least two years of experience in a licensed health care role and must have successfully passed the NCLEX licensure examination.
- MI Registered Nurse (RN) Required
- AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) Required
- AHA Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Required within 6 months
Nice To Haves
- Specialty Certification highly recommended within 2 years
Responsibilities
- Utilizes the framework of the nursing process to provide professional nursing care by incorporating patient-family centered care principles to assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and discharge.
- Provides quality patient care under the direction of the Nurse Leader according to Corewell Health policies and procedures.
- Recognizes the impact of nursing care and patient/family partnerships on patient outcomes.
- Partners with and utilizes patient/family input and goals in planning plan of care.
- Develops teaching strategies for patient/family and documents education and learning appropriately in the health record.
