About The Position
Avita Health System is seeking a Registered Nurse to join the ICU Department at Avita Galion Hospital. The RN assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates nursing care for patients in the unit. The role ensures continuity of care between shifts through direct patient care and supervision of care provided by nursing assistants, LPNs, and supportive staff. The RN participates in patient and family teaching and serves as a patient advocate in support of the organization’s mission. The schedule is 7 p.m. to 7 a.m., part time, every third weekend, for 48 hours per pay period.
Requirements
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Ohio.
- Current BLS certification.
- Current ACLS certification.
Nice To Haves
- Two or more years of previous nursing experience.
- Previous Intensive Care Unit experience.
Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for patients within the nursing unit.
- Ensure continuity of patient care between shifts by providing direct care and supervising care given by nursing assistants, LPNs, and supportive staff members.
- Participate in patient and family teaching.
- Maintain a patient advocate role with a focus on the organization’s mission.
