About The Position
The RN ICU - Intensive Care Unit position is a full-time role located in Hudson, FL, requiring night shifts with rotating weekends. The primary responsibilities include assessing, planning, intervening, and evaluating the care of critically ill patients. The role also involves instructing patients and families on medications and treatments, maintaining patient records, and administering medications as per physician orders.
Requirements
- At least 1 year of ICU experience working in an acute care setting.
- Florida RN license and/or approved multistate RN license required. Compact license holders have 60 days to obtain the Florida license after relocation.
- Registered Nurse Diploma, ASN required.
- Current Basic Cardiac Life Support certification required.
- Current NIHSS (National Institute of Health Stroke Scale) certification required within 6 months of hire.
Nice To Haves
- Experience working in MICU/SICU/CSU.
- BSN preferred.
- American Heart Association ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification required within 6 months of hire.
Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, intervene and evaluate the care of critically ill patients.
- Instruct patients and families regarding medications and treatment instructions.
- Maintain and review patients’ records including posting tests and examination results.
- Administer medications in accordance with physician orders.
