About The Position

Join Piedmont Henry Hospital as we continue to grow! We are a 40-bed Medical/Surgical fast-paced, high acuity Intensive Care Unit staffed with Critical Care Intensivists/APPs 24/7. Our staff includes Registered Nurses, Respiratory Therapists, and Patient Care Technicians. The typical nurse to patient ratio is 1:2/1:3. The unit manages Sepsis and Multi-System Organ failure, Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy (CRRT), Targeted Temperature Management (TTM) for post cardiac arrest, Advanced Invasive & Non-Invasive Hemodynamic Monitoring (Arterial lines, Flotrac/EV 1000, Central Venous Catheters), EKOS Ultrasound Accelerated Thrombolysis, Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump (IABP), Impella, titration of vasopressors and continuous paralytics, use of BIS monitor/TOF monitor, management of pacemakers, complex respiratory failure patients requiring advanced ventilatory support, post-Percutaneous Coronary Intervention, acute stroke care with Alteplase management, management of shock (cardiac, septic, hypovolemic), management of neurosurgical patients including care of external ventricular devices, and patients with ARDS requiring manual prone therapy.

Requirements

  • Graduate from a recognized, accredited school of nursing
  • New Graduates of a nursing program eligible
  • RN - Registered Nurse - Georgia State Licensure and/or NLC/eNCL Multistate Licensure Current License in the State of Georgia as a Registered Nurse or NLC/eNLC Multistate License.
  • BCLS - Basic Life Support

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Nursing Experience in Hospital Setting
  • 1 year in a hospital setting for PRN positions
  • Advanced certification in field of specialty, if applicable (see addendum)
  • ACLS Certification - (Nurse Residents or nurses new to specialty will complete applicable certifications within 6 months of start date) within 180 Days
  • CDN (Certified Dialysis Certificate) preferred

Responsibilities

  • Provides nursing care to patients from birth through the lifecycle utilizing nursing processes to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate the care for patients.
  • Functions within the framework of the policies and procedures of the organization and demonstrates professional growth and accountability.
  • Responsible for maintaining standards of practice, coordinating patient care activities of all assigned staff in the provision of quality nursing care.
