About The Position

Medical ICU is a 20 bed mixed ICU/Step Down unit. We have a combination of ICU 2:1 and Stepdowns are 3:1. We also require floating to our sister unit 5S to take SD 1:3 or progressive level patients at a 4:1. There is a weekend and holiday rotation commitment.

Requirements

• Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Experience in ICU/CCU setting
• Ability to manage ICU patients at 2:1 ratio
• Ability to manage step-down patients at 3:1 ratio
• Willingness to float to sister unit 5S
• Commitment to weekend and holiday rotation

Responsibilities

• Provide care in a 20-bed mixed ICU/Step Down unit.
• Manage patients with ICU ratios of 2:1.
• Manage step-down patients with ratios of 3:1.
• Float to sister unit 5S to care for step-down patients (1:3) or progressive level patients (4:1).
• Participate in weekend and holiday rotation.
