About The Position

This is a Registered Nurse position in the Cardiac Care Unit (CCU). The unit has 16 beds with patient ratios typically at 2:1, occasionally 3:1. Medical Technicians (MT) are available, and a tech may be staffed depending on census. The unit utilizes equipment such as Impella, GE monitors, Temporary Pacemakers, EKOS, IABP, Artic Sun, and Hemodynamic monitoring. Documentation is done through the Meditech system. The role requires 36 hours of work weekly, with floating in rotation with core staffing. Patient experience is a key requirement, along with specific hospital certifications including ACLS, BLS, PALS, and NIH.

Requirements

• Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• ACLS certification.
• BLS certification.
• PALS certification.
• NIH certification.
• Ability to work 36 hours weekly.
• Willingness to float in rotation with core staffing.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in the Cardiac Care Unit.
• Manage patient care with ratios of 2:1, occasionally 3:1.
• Operate and monitor specialized equipment including Impella, GE monitors, Temporary Pacemakers, EKOS, IABP, Artic Sun, and Hemodynamic monitoring.
• Document patient information using the Meditech system.
• Float to other units in rotation with core staffing as needed.
• Ensure a positive patient experience.
