About The Position

The PRN House Supervisor (RN) assumes responsibility for complete facility operations during the assigned shift. This includes supervising nursing and clinical staff, ensuring that patient care is provided in an accurate and timely manner. This position has responsibility for the supervision of care of patients ranging in age from adolescents through geriatrics.

Requirements

• Associate degree from an accredited Nursing program required
• Minimum one (1) year(s) of related experience
• Must maintain an active Registered Nurse license issed by TX BON or Maintain an active RN Multi state compact license.
• Successful completion Handle with Care Training, Service Excellence Training, and CPR certification required. Certifications must be obtained during new hire orientation.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor degree from an accredited Nursing program
• knowledge of psychiatric patient care techniques with understanding of mental illness

Responsibilities

• Contributes to improving hospital operations and services by making suggestions for changing and modifying practices, and serving on special task forces as indicated
• Provides direction and leadership by directing Charge Nurses, RNs, LVNs, and MHTs in the milieu management of the unit.
• Provides appropriate intervention in psychiatric and medical crisis situations
• Maintains professional demeanor in dress, attitude, support of unit program, and hospital mission and philosophy.
