About The Position
Canyon Creek Behavioral Health is a 102-bed, acute care psychiatric hospital located in the beautiful Central Texas town of Temple, Texas. Canyon Creek features individual units for adolescents, adults, and seniors, and offers inpatient acute care and intensive outpatient programs. We are enthusiastic about providing compassionate health care from our team here at Canyon Creek Behavioral Health. The PRN Day RN is a registered professional nurse who prescribes, coordinates, and evaluates patient care through collaborative efforts with health team members in accordance with the nursing process and the standards of care and practices.
Requirements
- Associate degree from an accredited Nursing program required
- Minimum one (1) year(s) of related experience
- Must maintain an active Registered Nurse license issed by TX BON or Maintain an active RN Multi state compact license.
- Successful completion Handle with Care Training, Service Excellence Training, and CPR certification required. Certifications must be obtained during new hire orientation.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor degree from an accredited Nursing program
- knowledge of psychiatric patient care techniques with understanding of mental illness
Responsibilities
- Document and reassess any significant changes in the patient's condition in compliance with facility policy.
- Prioritize and formulate a plan of care based on patient assessment and according to policy.
- Prescribe and coordinate nursing care to patients, during episode of care.
- Comply with established measures for infection control, OSHA regulations, and risk management.
