About The Position

Shriners Children's St. Louis has an opportunity for a part-time RN House Supervisor in our Inpatient Unit. Join a team of professionals committed to improving children's lives. This part-time position will work 48 hours bi-weekly on night shift.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree (BSN)
Active RN license in state of practice
3 years' nursing experience in a pediatric clinical setting
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification

Nice To Haves

1 Year Nursing Supervisor experience
2 Years Critical Care experience
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification

Responsibilities

Directing the daily activities of the Inpatient Unit.
Oversight of care delivered to patients, ensuring that staff, equipment, supplies and other resources are available and accessible for the provision of care.
Fostering collaborative relationships with staff.
Assisting with the professional development of nursing staff including ensuring the quality of care provided meets or exceeds the standards established by The Joint Commission, CMS, SHC and other applicable governmental or regulatory agencies.
May have authority beyond nursing departments during non-routine work hours, and may serve as the top-ranking administrative representative for the hospital.
