About The Position

The RN - House Supervisor coordinates the managerial and clinical activities within the hospital. This role represents hospital administration, facilitating the smooth running of the hospital through astute decision making or appropriate referral. This position collaborates with department directors/nurse managers to guide staff in the process of problem resolution.

Requirements

Technical Diploma/Certificate Nursing Required or Associates Degree Nursing Required
3 years Nursing experience with demonstrated management/supervisory experience (may consider charge nurse experience).
Registered Nurse Licensed State of Florida or eligible compact state license Upon Hire
BLS for Healthcare Providers (BLS) American Heart Association Upon Hire
ACLS Provider (ACLS) American Heart Association Upon Hire
National Institutes Of Health Stroke Scale (NIH) Upon Hire
Demonstrates clinical competence in relevant area of nursing practice.
Demonstrates leadership ability and potential managerial competency.
Effective communication skills.

Responsibilities

Coordinates clinical and operational activities across the hospital.
Manages patient placement, staffing, and resource allocation to support safe and efficient operations.
Demonstrates advanced clinical judgment and decision-making.
Maintains current knowledge and serves as a resource for staff to support quality patient care.
Leads hospital-wide response during emergencies (e.g., codes, disasters, rapid response events).
Coordinates resources, ensures protocol adherence, and supports staff during critical situations.
Addresses and resolves staff, patient, and family concerns in real time.
Provides leadership presence, guidance, and escalation support across departments.
Ensures adherence to policies, regulatory standards, and patient safety practices.
Identifies potential risks and implements immediate corrective actions to maintain a safe environment.
