About The Position

This role involves supervising and coordinating unit staffing, providing leadership, and ensuring the implementation of clinical objectives and quality patient care in an assigned area. The individual will assign, direct, educate, and monitor nursing and support staff during their shift, and may contribute to performance evaluations. Responsibilities include assessing daily patient care needs, developing and distributing patient care assignments, and evaluating the effectiveness of patient care to identify issues affecting patient outcomes. The role also involves responding to patient care complaints and managing them through established channels, and may provide input for hiring, training, directing, developing, and evaluating staff.

Requirements

BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
Registered Nurse credentialed from the Indiana Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
Required professional licensure/certification AND 1 year of cumulative job specific experience required

Nice To Haves

Two-plus years of critical care or ED experience strongly preferred.
Previous leadership experience is preferred.

Responsibilities
