About The Position

EvergreenHealth Hospice focuses on providing the highest quality of life possible for our patients and our publicly reported patient satisfaction outcomes demonstrate our success and leadership in our field as the premier hospice agency. As an RN with our Hospice Care Center, you maintain the following primary duties: Provide direct patient care and functions as a patient advocate. Assess the comprehensive nursing needs of an assigned group of patients. Coordinate the patient and family/significant other education process. Continuously plan, implement, and evaluate patient care, incorporating patient and family/significant other into the process. Participate with physician partners and other interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement patient and family/significant other plan of care. Communicate effectively all relevant information (e.g., patient information, safety issues, problems with equipment, quality issues, etc.) to immediate supervisor, in timely way. Communicate and document changes in patient condition, on a timely basis, to charge nurse/supervisor and physician.

Requirements

  • Graduate of a nursing program (Diploma or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required)
  • Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Washington
  • Current Healthcare Provider BLS certification by date of hire
