About The Position

Goodwin Home Health is seeking a PRN/On-Call Registered Nurse to work daytime hours. The role offers work-life balance, outstanding pay, and benefits. The RN will join a dynamic team at Goodwin Home Health, responsible for developing and safely delivering high-quality skilled Home Health nursing services to seniors living in their homes. Services are provided throughout Northern Virginia, specifically in the counties of Arlington, Alexandria, Fairfax, Prince William, and Loudoun.

Requirements

Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
Currently licensed by the state board of nursing to practice as a Registered Nurse.
At least one-year acute care experience, Home Health preferred.
Current CPR certification.
Possess a driver's license, proof of automobile insurance and readily available, reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

Performs/completes OASIS documentation.
Performs a detailed assessment resulting in the development of a patient specific Plan of Care. Client clinical record documentation is done per agency policy.
Provides direct nursing care in a Home Health setting under the guidelines of a physician’s order.
Communicates with other team members regarding the Plan of Care and works closely with team members for optimal outcomes.
Effectively communicates with referring physicians and provides accurate treatment notes and other necessary documentation in a timely manner, per policy.
Prepares for patient discharge planning as soon as possible along with informing and preparing the patient, team members and physician.
