About The Position

Corewell Health is hiring an RN for its Home Care Skilled Nursing Team, serving the Big Rapids and Evart areas. The Visiting Nurses Association provides home care across west-central Michigan. Nurses visit patients in their homes, with personalized assignments close to home and typically 5–7 patient visits per shift. The position involves autonomous nursing practice and use of clinical skills and critical thinking to support patients in their homes.

Under the direct supervision of the Nursing Manager and in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team, the nurse uses clinical judgment to assess patients and implement treatment plans. The RN assesses, monitors, detects, plans, and takes appropriate action to prevent physiological complications associated with specific health problems and medical treatment.

This is a full-time, day-shift position with 40 scheduled hours per week. The listed hours are 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, with every fourth weekend worked. Corewell Health offers up to a $10,000 sign-on bonus.

Requirements

• Associate degree in Nursing required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing required within five years.
• Michigan Registered Nurse (RN) license required.
• Michigan driver’s license required.
• AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Provide home health visits to patients in the assigned service area.
