About The Position

Trinity Health Grand Rapids Hospital is seeking a full-time Registered Nurse (RN) for its 3 Lacks unit, a 32-bed, all-private-room acute care unit specializing in geriatric patients (65+). This high-acuity, adaptable care environment unit manages telemetry, cardiac drips, high-flow oxygen, BiPAP, and advanced therapies. Nurses care for patients with rapidly changing conditions, using advanced assessment and strong clinical judgment. The unit follows a nurse-directed, team-based care model with RNs, LPNs, Nurse Externs, PCAs, and Virtual RNs. The hospital is a NICHE Exemplar Organization, recognized for excellence in geriatric nursing and interdisciplinary collaboration, and is a Magnet designated facility with active shared decision-making councils. The role involves delivering excellent patient care as part of an interdisciplinary team, providing evidenced-based medicine and individualized patient care, and facilitating all aspects of the patient visit experience.

Requirements

Graduation from an accredited Nursing school and program
Associates Degree in Nursing required
Licensed in the State of Michigan
Current BLS AHA certification
Experience in a health care setting

Nice To Haves

BSN preferred
In Grand Rapids if ADN must enroll in BSN program within 6 months of hire and complete in 4 years of hire

Responsibilities
