About The Position

Trinity Health Grand Rapids Hospital is seeking a full-time Registered Nurse (RN) for its 32-bed, all-private-room Geriatric Progressive Care Unit. This high-acuity unit specializes in caring for patients aged 65 and older, managing conditions requiring telemetry, cardiac drips, high-flow oxygen, BiPAP, and advanced therapies. Nurses on this unit utilize advanced assessment skills and strong clinical judgment to care for patients with rapidly changing conditions. The unit operates on a nurse-directed, team-based care model involving RNs, LPNs, Nurse Externs, PCAs, and Virtual RNs. The hospital is recognized as a NICHE Exemplar Organization for its excellence in geriatric nursing and interdisciplinary collaboration, and it is a Magnet designated facility with active shared decision-making councils.

Requirements

• Graduation from an accredited Nursing school and program.
• Associates Degree in Nursing required.
• Licensed in the State of Michigan.
• Current BLS AHA certification.
• Experience in a health care setting.

Nice To Haves

• BSN preferred.
• In Grand Rapids if ADN must enroll in BSN program within 6 months of hire and complete in 4 years of hire.
