About The Position

Hinds LifeCare, a well-respected nonprofit agency in California’s Central Valley and a pioneer in hospice and palliative care, is seeking an RN Float to join their team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about the mission, driven to provide the best care to patients and families during vulnerable and emotional final days, and will carry that supportive care to families and loved ones left behind. As a member of the Interdisciplinary Team, the RN Float is an experienced Registered Nurse who provides skilled palliative and end-of-life care in the community setting. The RN Case Manager Float is responsible for promoting the Hospice philosophy. This individual facilitates the development of a collaborative interdisciplinary plan and ensures the overall coordination, collaboration, and medical management of hospice services for patients and their significant others. Requirements

  • Completed a professional nursing program accredited by the National League for Nursing (prefer completion of a baccalaureate program in nursing).
  • One year experience in acute care facility or community health agency (hospice experience a plus).
  • Current RN Licensure and CPR Certification.
  • Valid driver's license, auto insurance, reliable transportation and a willingness to use personal vehicle in the course of employment.
  • Ability to meet the physical demands of the job (i.e., Push, Pull, Lift/Carry 35 lbs.).
  • Availability to rotate weekends.
