This is a part-time Registered Nurse (RN) Float position requiring 20 hours per week, primarily Monday-Friday from 0730-1800, with hours dependent on area coverage needs. The role supports two clinics, Waterford and East Troy, and does not involve weekend or holiday work. The RN will engage in unit councils, professional governance, and quality initiatives to improve care processes and apply evidence-based practices. They will utilize the nursing process to assess, plan, diagnose, implement, and evaluate nursing care, engaging patients and families throughout the continuum of care. Responsibilities include monitoring patient conditions, adjusting care plans, mobilizing resources, collaborating with the care team, and upholding a culture of safety. The role may involve administering medications and treatments, demonstrating effective communication, pursuing professional development, adhering to the ANA Code of Ethics, and appropriately delegating tasks. Accurate EHR documentation is required. RNs in this role may be required to float to other units, departments, care areas, or facilities within the designated service area to meet patient care needs. The position requires the ability to demonstrate knowledge and skills appropriate for the age of the patients served, including understanding principles of growth and development and assessing data reflective of patient status and age-specific needs.
