About The Position

This night-shift Registered Nurse (RN) in South Colorado Region assumes responsibility and accountability for facilitating, communicating, and collaborating with both the healthcare team, and the patient/family to identify and meet the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of the patient. As a Float RN, you will optimal health, well-being and safety of the patient through use of the nursing process and in accordance with patient care standards, guidelines and the State Nurse Practice Act. As an RN team member with Mercy Hospital, you will be joining a team of nurses who demonstrates personal accountability for relationship-based care, organizational mission, and core values. The Enterprise Resource Pool offers many options for flexibility, variety, and career growth, while supporting our collective mission to deliver outstanding whole-person care to our flourishing communities. Associates within the Enterprise Pool will have the opportunity to float to multiple units within one facility, a geographic group of facilities, or to all of our facilities. This pool will provide additional resources to support and supplement the workload and staffing needs across the system.

Requirements

  • RN License required
  • Current state nursing licenses or RN license from a participating state in the National Licensure Compact
  • Colorado Only: RNs working in Colorado under a multi-state license must obtain their CO RN license within 30 days of establishing residency
  • Nursing Diploma or Associates Degree in Nursing required
  • BLS from the American Heart Association required
  • Nursing skills and knowledge base specific to unit type or specialty area
  • 24 months of hospital RN experience in unit type/specialty area in which candidate will float

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelors Degree in Nursing preferred

Responsibilities
