About The Position

St. Elizabeth Healthcare is hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) for our Acute Care System Wide Float Pool. This role involves assignments in any adult acute care, telemetry, or transitional care unit located at the Edgewood, Grant County, Covington, Florence, Ft. Thomas, or Dearborn facilities. Assignments may also include adult acute care or transitional care patients who are boarded in other departments, such as the ED, PACU, or ICU. The licensed registered nurse is a professional nurse responsible and accountable for providing evidence-based clinical care to designated patients utilizing the nursing process. This includes assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating care according to established ethical/cultural codes and standards of nursing practices, and working collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams to achieve patient outcomes. Requirements

  • Graduate from accredited School of Nursing, holds a BSN, and licensed to practice in the state of Kentucky and Indiana, or state license letter of eligibility.
  • Meets contact hour requirements for licensure, including all state-required courses.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of nursing theory, clinical practice standards, procedures, policies and competence in mathematical calculations associated with medication administration.
  • Competent to independently perform safe nursing skills and procedures.
  • Able to critically think and problem solve in routine and emergency situations.
  • Candidates shall have appropriately demonstrated and documented competencies for the assigned clinical area.
  • 18-month minimum clinical RN nursing experience.
  • Successful completion of preceptorship and orientation to the facility and clinical area.
