This role is for an RN Extern in Surgery. The extern works limited time status under the direction of an RN mentor to provide patient care using defined procedures and standards in accordance with the goals of the unit and the philosophy of Community Medical Centers. Requirements

High School Diploma, High School Equivalency (HSE), or Completion of a CHS Approved Individualized Education Plan (IEP) Certificate required
Current enrollment in an accredited RN nursing program required
Participation in an approved Work Study Program affiliated with the school of nursing OR current CHS employment while enrolled in a CHS/Unitek nursing program eligible for the practice and academic partnership (not for academic credit) required
Successful completion of required foundational nursing coursework and eligible program semester(s) as defined by the Nursing Extern Work Study Program required
BLS - Current Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers by American Heart Association (AHA) required
