About The Position

This role provides direct clinical patient care. The nurse assumes responsibility for assessing, planning, and implementing direct clinical care for assigned patients on a per-shift and unit-level basis. The role is accountable for supporting the Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) in ensuring high-quality, safe, and appropriate nursing care, clinical staff competency, and appropriate resource management related to patient care.

Requirements

Bachelor of Science in Nursing for all external candidates.
Current California RN License.
Current American Heart Association BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.
One year of experience in Inpatient or Outpatient GI Services, ICU, pre- or post-operative care units, Cath Lab/IR, Emergency Department, or inpatient or outpatient surgical services.
Possess the skill, knowledge, and ability essential to the successful performance of assigned duties.
Demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the job.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health System.
Must be able to provide proof of work authorization.

Nice To Haves

Knowledge of University and medical center organizations, policies, procedures, and forms.
Conscious sedation experience.
