About The Position

The PRN RN prescribes, delegates, and coordinates nursing care for patients; participates in patient and family teaching; and provides leadership by working cooperatively with ancillary, nursing, and other patient-team personnel to maintain professional nursing practice standards in the clinical setting. The RN also creates a positive customer service environment.

Requirements

• Current RN licensure recognized by the Kentucky State Board of Nursing.

Responsibilities

• Assess and identify patient needs.
• Implement appropriate interventions based on patient-population needs and the department’s scope of service.
• Delegate nursing care activities and provide supervision.
• Establish and maintain a plan for delivery of nursing care.
• Ensure nursing interventions and activities are directed toward resolving problems.
• Perform technical aspects of care competently.
• Participate in patient and family teaching.
• Work cooperatively with ancillary, nursing, and other patient-team personnel to maintain professional nursing practice standards.
• Create a positive customer service environment.
