About The Position
Reporting to the Practice Coordinator, Emergency Room, the Registered Nurse is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care for each assigned patient. The role also supervises, coordinates, and guides nursing staff activities and implements the Emergency Department’s philosophy, goals, and standards of care.
Requirements
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of California.
- Valid American Heart Association (AHA) Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification within 90 days of hire.
- One year of experience in an emergency, telemetry, or critical care area.
- Current American Heart Association (AHA) Healthcare Provider CPR card.
- Valid American Heart Association (AHA) Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification within six months of hire into the position.
- Training, in compliance with the SAMC workplace violence policy, for care of behavioral health/aggressive-combative patients, families, and visitors within three months of hire and annually thereafter.
