About The Position

Piedmont Walton’s Emergency Department is a fast-paced, high-acuity environment serving patients of all ages as a Level III Trauma Center. The department has 15 treatment rooms and a 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio. Nurses provide high-quality, timely care, with an emphasis on prioritization, teamwork, and professionalism. Self-scheduling is available through Smart Square. The staff nurse provides nursing care to patients from birth through the lifecycle, using the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care. The nurse works within the organization’s policies and procedures, demonstrates professional growth and accountability, maintains standards of practice, and coordinates the care activities of assigned staff to provide quality nursing care. This is a part-time night-shift position from 7 PM to 7 AM. A sign-on bonus is available, and an ED specialty differential is provided.

Requirements

Graduate from a recognized, accredited school of nursing.
Current Georgia Registered Nurse license or NLC/eNLC multistate license.
Basic Life Support (BCLS) certification.
Advanced certification in the specialty, if applicable.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Nursing experience in a hospital setting preferred.
For PRN positions, one year of hospital-setting experience preferred.
