About The Position

The Piedmont Henry Emergency Department sees 75,000-90,000 visits per year and is a Level III trauma center. It is a fully accredited Stroke Center and recently added an 18-bed Cardiac Observation Unit that works closely with the ED. The multidisciplinary team in the ED includes ED MD, ED APP, ED RN, C-RN, Flow Coordinator, Unit Based Educator, RN, ED Paramedics, Patient Care Technicians, Radiology staff, Respiratory staff, Patient Experience and Patient Access.

Requirements

Graduate from a recognized, accredited school of nursing.
No experience required.
New Graduates of a nursing program eligible.
RN - Registered Nurse - Georgia State Licensure and/or NLC/eNCL Multistate Licensure.
Current License in the State of Georgia as a Registered Nurse or NLC/eNLC Multistate License.
BCLS - Basic Life Support.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor’s Degree.
Nursing Experience in Hospital Setting Preferred.
1 year in a hospital setting for PRN positions.
Advanced certification in field of specialty, if applicable (see addendum).

Responsibilities

Provides nursing care to patients from birth through the lifecycle utilizing nursing processes to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate the care for patients.
Functions within the framework of the policies and procedures of the organization and demonstrates professional growth and accountability.
Responsible for maintaining standards of practice, coordinating patient care activities of all assigned staff in the provision of quality nursing care.
Triage and Assessment of patient complaint.
Medical screening exam by a qualified medical provider and treatment plan based on assessment.
Appropriate Drug Therapy Management of critically ill patients.
Patient discharge education.
