About The Position
Piedmont Henry Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for their Emergency Department (ED). This is a part-time position with day shifts. The ED sees between 75,000-90,000 visits per year and is licensed for 59 beds, with a patient to RN ratio of 3:1. As a Level III trauma center and a Fully Accredited Stroke Center, the ED manages critically ill patients, performs medical screening exams, and provides appropriate drug therapy. The department also features a recently added 18-bed Cardiac Observation Unit. The multidisciplinary team includes ED MD, ED APP, ED RN, C-RN, Flow Coordinator, Unit Based Educator, RN, ED Paramedics, Patient Care Technicians, Radiology staff, Respiratory staff, Patient Experience, and Patient Access.
Requirements
- Graduate from a recognized, accredited school of nursing
- RN - Registered Nurse - Georgia State Licensure and/or NLC/eNCL Multistate Licensure Current License in the State of Georgia as a Registered Nurse or NLC/eNLC Multistate License.
- BCLS - Basic Life Support
- No experience required New Graduates of a nursing program eligible
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Nursing Experience in Hospital Setting
- 1 year in a hospital setting for PRN positions
- Advanced certification in field of specialty, if applicable (see addendum)
Responsibilities
- Provides nursing care to patients from birth through the lifecycle utilizing nursing processes to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate the care for patients.
- Functions within the framework of the policies and procedures of the organization and demonstrates professional growth and accountability.
- Responsible for maintaining standards of practice, coordinating patient care activities of all assigned staff in the provision of quality nursing care.
