About The Position
The Piedmont Henry Emergency Department sees 75,000-90,000 visits per year and is licensed for 59 beds with a 3/4:1 patient to RN ratio. It is a Level III trauma center and a Fully Accredited Stroke Center. Recently, an 18-bed Cardiac Observation Unit was added that works closely with the ED. The multidisciplinary team in the ED includes ED MD, ED APP, ED RN, C-RN, Flow Coordinator, Unit Based Educator, RN, ED Paramedics, Patient Care Technicians, Radiology staff, Respiratory staff, Patient Experience and Patient Access.
Requirements
- Graduate of a nursing program
- New Graduates of a nursing program eligible
- Current License in the State of Georgia as a Registered Nurse or NLC/eNLC Multistate License.
- BLS certification required.
Nice To Haves
- One year of nursing experience in a hospital setting preferred
- Bachelors degree preferred
- Advanced certification in field of specialty, if applicable
Responsibilities
- Provides nursing care to patients from birth through the lifecycle utilizing nursing processes to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate the care for patients.
- Functions within the framework of the policies and procedures of the organization and demonstrates professional growth and accountability.
- Responsible for maintaining standards of practice, coordinating patient care activities of all assigned staff in the provision of quality nursing care.
