About The Position

Maintains established standards of care, policies, objectives, and goals in administering professional nursing care to all patients needing Emergency Services. Must enjoy teaching and coaching others and possess a calm and patient demeanor. Organization and time management skills will serve this person well. Must be able to work with a variety of personalities and able to work under the following conditions: contact with patients under wide variety of circumstances; exposed to unpleasant elements (accidents, injuries, and illness); subject to varying and unpredictable situations; handles emergency or crisis situations; may perform emergency care; occasionally subjected to irregular hours; occasional stress due to multiple calls and inquiries. Capable of working overtime as required. Able to read, write and speak English.

Requirements

• Must hold a current, unencumbered Alabama RN Nursing license.
• Must have ACLS, PALS, and BLS.
• Minimum 4 years Emergency Department nursing experience.

Nice To Haves

• BSN is preferred.
• TNCC preferred.
