About The Position

This position is located at Carilion New River Valley Medical Center (CNRVMC) in Christiansburg, VA, working full time, 3-12 hour shifts (36 hours per week) 7:00AM-7:00PM, Monday-Saturday with rotating on call for Sundays. Will include EOW and rotating holidays. The RN provides professional nursing care to patients across all age groups, supporting patient-centered care through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care. This role collaborates with the healthcare team to ensure safe, effective, and high-quality patient outcomes.

Requirements

Graduate of a State Board of Nursing approved program required.
Current Registered Nurse license in the Commonwealth of Virginia required or eligibility to obtain licensure required.
AHA BLS-HCP required.
Keyboarding skills and computer literacy required, including use of electronic medical records.

Nice To Haves

Additional certifications such as ACLS, PALS, or NRP may be required based on assigned work area.
For Behavioral Health roles, must demonstrate ability to safely manage disruptive or potentially violent patients.
