About The Position

This CVOR Hybrid room integrates a full cardiovascular OR with real time imaging technology, enabling minimally invasive, IR guided procedures such as catheter or tube placements. We’re looking for RNs who have moderate sedation experience or experience working in Interventional Radiology. This is a Vascular lab - Hybrid OR position that will also work in conjunction with Main OR. The role will report to surgical services. Requirements

  • Graduate from a recognized, accredited school of nursing Required
  • No experience required New Graduates of a nursing program eligible Required
  • RN - Registered Nurse - Georgia State Licensure and/or NLC/eNCL Multistate Licensure Current License in the State of Georgia as a Registered Nurse or NLC/eNLC Multistate License. Required
  • BCLS - Basic Life Support Required
  • ACLS Certification - (Nurse Residents or nurses new to specialty will complete applicable certifications within 6 months of start date) within 180 Days Required (for Surgical Services - OR)
  • BLS required only within 180 Days Required (for Surgical Services - OR)

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s Degree Preferred
  • Nursing Experience in Hospital Setting Preferred
  • 1 year in a hospital setting for PRN positions Preferred
  • Advanced certification in field of specialty, if applicable (see addendum)
  • ACLS Certification - (Nurse Residents or nurses new to specialty will complete applicable certifications within 6 months of start date) within 180 Days Required (for Cardiac Tele, Critical Care, Emergency Department, Surgical Services - PreOp/PACU/ENDO/CSU, Women's Services - Labor and Delivery)
  • PALS if unit provides care to pediatric patients (Nurse Residents or nurses new to specialty will complete applicable certifications within 6 months of start date) (for Surgical Services - PreOp/PACU/ENDO/CSU)
  • PALS Certification - required at Piedmont Columbus Hospital (Nurse Residents or nurses new to specialty will complete applicable certifications within 6 months of start date) (for Pediatrics)
  • PEARS or PALS Certification - required at Piedmont Athens Hospital (Nurse Residents or nurses new to specialty will complete applicable certifications within 6 months of start date) (for Pediatrics)
  • NRP by the end of orientation period, AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring Program within 12 months of start date (for Women's Services - Labor and Delivery)
  • NRP by the end of orientation period (for Women's Services - Mother/Baby, NICU, NAT, Nursery)

Responsibilities

  • The staff nurse provides nursing care to patients from birth through the lifecycle utilizing nursing processes to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate the care for patients.
  • He/she functions within the framework of the policies and procedures of the organization and demonstrates professional growth and accountability.
  • The staff nurse is responsible for maintaining standards of practice, coordinating patient care activities of all assigned staff in the provision of quality nursing care.
