About The Position

Monterey Park Hospital, located in the San Gabriel Valley of Los Angeles County, is searching for a Registered Nurse for our Emergency Department. This is a part-time, night shift position. This position reports to the Director of Critical Care Services.

Requirements

• 6 months of recent ER or critical care experience in an acute general hospital required.
• Current CA RN License
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS (AHA) required.
• Proficiency in both written and oral English.

Nice To Haves

• Completion of a critical care training program preferred.
• CPI/AB508 or equivalent within 90 days of hire, transfer, or promotion.

Responsibilities

• Provide care that includes timely triage, physical assessment, treatment, reassessment, discharge planning, and health education to the ED patient.
• Planning and coordinating care from admission through post-discharge.
• Meeting and exceeding the CDPH, The Joint Commission, and other regulatory requirements.
• Contributing to reduction in LOS.
• Active participation with all aspects of quality, safety and performance improvement activities.
• Collaboration with all the members of the multidisciplinary team in providing outstanding customer service to patients, family members, physicians and the public.
