About The Position
Monterey Park Hospital, a 101-acute care facility located in the San Gabriel Valley of Los Angeles County, is seeking a Monitor Tech for our Telemetry Department. This is a per diem, 12-hour night shift position reporting to the Director of Critical Care Services.
Requirements
- Monitor Technician Certification required
- Current BLS from the American Heart Association is required
Nice To Haves
- One year of working experience as a Monitor Tech at an acute care hospital is preferred
- Successfully passes the annual arrhythmias interpretation competency
Responsibilities
- Continuously monitors patients’ cardiac rhythms
- Properly reports and documents patients’ rhythms
- Maintains and monitors proper functioning of Telemetry equipment
- Checks and documents all Telemetry alarms
- Has the ability to perform additional duties as determined by management
