About The Position

Coordinate daily clinical operations of the ASC Endoscopy area assigned either post anesthesia care unit (PACU) and preoperative area in accordance with established Federal, State, and JCAHO regulations and Center policies and procedures. Coordinates with Managers and Director actions related to the clinical and nursing activities such as staffing, Policy and Procedure, educational activities in the preoperative / PACU area, promoting Quality Improvement Program, Infection Control and Safety plans. Coordinates proper use of equipment, supplies and controlled drugs, and accurate medical record documentation. Requirements

  • Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or higher
  • Texas RN license
  • American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS)
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) obtain within 90 days
  • 3+ years of RN experience in PACU, PreOp, Endoscopy
  • Experience in pre-operative patient assessment and preparation required.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
  • 3+ years of Endoscopy experience
  • RN experience in Pre-Op, Pre-Admission Testing (PAT), Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC)
