This job assumes responsibility for managing all facets of the National Surgical Quality Improvement Program (NSQIP) database, which is a nationally validated, risk-adjusted, outcomes-based program to measure and improve the quality of surgical care. The role assumes chief responsibility to collect and submit reliable data to the NSQIP through high-quality data compilation, documentation, and entry into the NSQIP database of all eligible surgeries in the hospital. The position works closely with Departments to identify opportunities for clinical quality improvement and other special projects as may be identified.
